A dispute has emerged between Ugandan artists Bebe Cool and Gravity Omutujju over alleged unpaid campaign performance fees linked to National Resistance Movement (NRM) rally performances.

Gravity Omutujju claims he signed a UGX 500 million agreement for campaign mobilization, received UGX 100 million upfront, and is still owed the remaining balance. He also demands additional payment related to campaign appearances.

However, Bebe Cool’s management argues that payments have not yet been fully released by the campaign principals and insists that Gravity should exercise patience as funds are still being processed.

The disagreement escalated after allegations that Gravity Omutujju independently met the President without coordination, further straining relations between the two camps.

There are also counter-claims suggesting that Gravity may have received separate campaign-related payments, though this has not been officially confirmed.

The matter remains unresolved, with possible legal action being considered if no agreement is reached.
